Oliver is an Executive Creative Director at Interbrand, New York. He co-leads a portfolio of 30+ amazing people who work across categories including technology, finance, retail, gaming, and sports. Daily, he straddles the intersection of strategy and design to create experiences that move people and companies.
Oliver has had the privilege of living and working on three continents, where he has led global teams on iconic creative pitches such as Sydney Opera House, Google, BMW, and a top-secret (but dream) global brand that will appear sometime in 2023. Other career highlights include creating the brand strategy – and poem – for Manchester City, and the creation of ‘Matter’ – the new standard for IoT (The next Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). He is credited with more than 100 leading international awards including six D&AD Pencils, three Cannes Lions, and three Clio’s awards – amongst many other bits of highly coveted wood, metal, and acrylic.
Examples of his work are published in some of the most esteemed design manuals, such as ‘A Smile in the Mind’, ‘A-Z of Ideas’, and ‘Designing Brand Identity’.
Oliver is always active in design education – lecturing, mentoring students, and judging creative awards.
Formerly, he was valedictorian of his University and helped to create the most awarded global agency for a few years in succession. He enjoys football, chess, cycling, art, and architecture, and is currently trying to build a house with his family in upstate New York.
